Mosque in San Diego Tied to Radical Islamic Terrorism

There’s no mystery to the goal of radical Islamic terrorist groups such as Hamas and ISIS – they want to bring down the West and spread their version of Islam throughout the world. Already, the foothold they have in Europe is deeply concerning, as European countries have opened up their borders to mass amounts of refugees from Syria, Iran, and other war-torn strongholds of radical Islam. However, it isn’t just Europe that Hamas has been able to establish a foothold in. In a shocking revelation, we now know that at least one U.S. mosque was founded by the terrorist organization.

Chris Gaubatz, the vice president of an organization called Understanding the Threat which is dedicated to fighting radical Islam, went deep undercover in order to trace the money trail of a mosque in San Diego. What he found was that the Muslim Brotherhood as well as the North American Islamic trust – based in San Diego – were all tied into a network that supported and helped fund Hamas.

The threat of radical Islamic terrorism is real and it’s closer to home than we might imagine. The most difficult part of combating this threat is understanding the line between peaceful Muslims in America and radical ones. As Gaubatz’s investigation has shown, though, that line might be more blurred than ever.
