The Left never misses a chance to embarrass themselves, and this time, they’ve really outdone it. Ken Martin, head of the Minnesota Democrats, just compared the violent protests in Minneapolis to the revolution in Iran. Yes, the same Iran where women are beaten to death for not covering their heads, gays are thrown off buildings and people are executed for speaking out against being oppressed. That Iran.
Martin tweeted, “From Tehran to my birthplace of Minneapolis, people are rising up against systems that wield violence without accountability.” He claims ICE is just as bad as Iran’s terror regime. That’s not just dumb—it’s offensive.

In Iran, brave protestors confront a far-right theocratic regime that crushes dissent and denies basic freedoms. Here at home, tens of thousands are…

Let’s break this down. In Iran, protesters are fighting a brutal theocracy. Since 2022, over 500 Iranians have been killed for protesting. The government shuts down the internet and vanishes people for simply wanting freedom.
Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, a woman—Renee Good—was shot after using her car as a weapon against ICE agents. That’s called committing a crime, not a revolution. But leave it to Democrats to paint violent offenders as heroes.
Martin also whined about families being torn apart by ICE. Funny, he didn’t mention the American families destroyed by illegal immigrants: Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, Rachel Morin. Their names don’t matter to Democrats because they don’t fit the narrative.
And then Martin doubled down: “If comparing the U.S. to Iran makes you angry, ask why.” We’re not angry—we’re just stunned someone can be this clueless in public and still have a job.
If comparing the U.S. to Iran makes you angry, ask why. Killing protesters. Crushing dissent. Kidnapping and disappearing legal citizens. Ignoring courts. Threatening critics. Terrorizing communities. That’s authoritarian behavior—anywhere. If you’re rushing to defend it, maybe… https://t.co/nh6krxBHul

One commenter nailed it: “It’s not a question of if your analogy makes people angry, it’s a question of if your analogy makes you look stupid… which it does. Very very stupid.”
This is glorious!
An Iranian in America shatters the illusion of paid protesters and Hollywood's crocodile tears.
