Miami Residents Can’t Answer Basic Questions About America

The good news is that many of the people in the video below are obviously not going to be voting in the November election. They don’t even know an election is happening.

The bad news is that the education system is failing so many students in America that when they grow up, they lack even basic knowledge of the country that they live in.

The website Muckraker sent a crew to the trendy Wynwood neighborhood just north of Downtown Miami to conduct some “person on the street” interviews. It was a busy night, and a lot of people were willing to stop and talk to the camera. Unfortunately, almost none of them could answer even the simplest questions about our country.

What is the First Amendment? How many stars are on the flag? What do the stars represent? Who is the vice president?

Time and time again, the adults in the video take a stab at these questions, but almost no one could answer them. Videos like this used to seem funnier, but nowadays, they’re just more evidence that America is a nation in decline.

It’s amazing and sad that we’ve been so dumbed down as a country by the teacher’s unions.

If you watch until the end of the video, the camera crew gets injured fighting off a robbery at the hands of some thugs who are high on drugs. It seems like a fitting end to the video, and a metaphor for where the country is headed at high speed…
