Media Cherry Picking from Horowitz’s Report on FBI Abuses Against Trump Campaign

Anders Hagstrom of Daily Caller talked about the Horowitz report with Lt. Colonel Tony Shaffer President of the London Center about the Inspector General’s report this week. Their consensus was the media is cherry-picking his findings concerning FBI abuses against the 2016 Trump campaign.

Democrats won’t like it but even liberal reporter Michael Tracey, formerly of Young Turks, called a foul on claims the report proves there was no bias against Trump.

Tracey tweeted, “That the media could be presenting this IG Report as ‘vindication’ of the FBI once again shows how thoroughly corrupted the media is by their allegiance to the security state apparatus — predictable given how many former members of that apparatus are now employed by the media.”

Tracey also tweeted that anyone with “cognitive function” would take Horowitz’s findings as a “serious scandal.”

Kimberley Strassel of The Wall Street Journal wrote that Horowitz’s “no bias” finding was not an exoneration of James Comey and others. He told Senators it just isn’t his job to guess what the motivations of FBI employees were, although he believed there is bias.

Tracey went further, saying, “Political bias is a red herring. What remains is that the extensive FBI errors all happened to “enable unprecedented surveillance of a presidential campaign.”

As Townhall reports, “No bias, really? Sorry, this is simply not believable.”

Watch the video to see why Shaffer says the argument that the FBI was simply incompetent has no merit at all.
