When the media smells success in the Trump administration, they scramble to create drama where there is none. This time, it was a desperate attempt to pit Vice President J.D. Vance against Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Spoiler alert: it didn’t work.
President Trump, fresh off his Christmas holiday at Mar-a-Lago and fresh off a major win with the capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, wasn’t having any of it. Aboard Air Force One, one reporter tried to suggest that Rubio was stealing the spotlight from Vance. The question couldn’t have been more loaded: “Would you say that Marco Rubio has your ear more than the Vice President right now?”
Trump shut it down instantly. “No! They both do. JD is very smart and doing a great job, and so is Marco! I would say they’re equal,” he said, putting an end to the nonsense. But the reporter wouldn’t let it go. They kept pushing, trying to stir up a feud. Trump didn’t flinch. He stood firm—Vance and Rubio are both key players, period.
Let’s be real: this is classic fake news behavior. The media can’t stand seeing a well-functioning, competent administration with leaders who actually get things done. So they invent drama to keep their narrative alive—anything to distract from the fact that Trump’s team just captured a socialist dictator without breaking a sweat.
While Rubio was on the Sunday shows laying out the next steps for Venezuela and calling out Cuba’s interference, Vance has been working closely with Trump behind the scenes. The administration is united, focused, and steamrolling through crises that the last administration couldn’t even spell.
So of course the press is panicking. They can’t handle the fact that Trump’s presidency is firing on all cylinders. Watch the video to see exactly how Trump smacks down this pathetic attempt to drive a wedge between his top guys.
