Following a midterm election which saw Republican candidates underperform throughout the country, the mainstream media has seized the opportunity to brainwash the GOP into moving on from former President Donald Trump
Establishment Republicans have been trying to push Trump out for quite some time, and the lackluster midterm results have provided them the media with some fresh firepower to take down the top Republican.
Despite having an impressive endorsement record of 171 wins and 18 losses in the 2022 election, Fox News, the New York Post, and the Wall Street Journal among others have been insisting that Trump is to blame for the red tsunami never coming to fruition the way many believed it would.
The left, looking to get rid of Trump once and for all, has even partnered with these conservative outlets to incite a Republican civil war and, unfortunately, it seems to be working.
A number of party members have been vocalizing their desire to ditch the man who transformed the Republican party – expressing a desire for DeSantis to take over as the proverbial leader of the GOP.
Republican staffers have been saying things like, “In order to truly make America great, it’s time for Trump to hang up his red hat and let DeSantis lead the red wave Trump failed to.”
But while the establishment is trying to blame Trump for the mediocre midterms – the former president is certainly not the reason Republicans didn’t perform as expected.
