When you criticize Ilhan Omar, you are committing an act of vile violence against her. Because she’s a woman of color, and a Muslim to boot! Any disagreement on any level is tantamount to an attack on her very life. She gets death threats! Supporting an investigation into her obvious campaign finance fraud is dangerous. We simply have to let her do and say whatever she wants. Otherwise, her life will be endangered.
That is very seriously the narrative on the left and mainstream media right now. They actually make these claims and hide behind them. It’s absolute insanity. When you call words violence, this is what you get.
Sadly, it’s not the dumbest part of this conversation. Even while they try to defend Omar by calling and disagreement an act of violence, they act in complete hypocrisy towards President Trump.
Maxine Waters — you might remember her as the sitting member of Congress who called for acts of violence against all Trump supporters — has defended Omar with this ideology. She also just called for the President to be thrown into solitary confinement.
Words aren’t violence, but solitary confinement for someone who has not been convicted of a crime is according to Mad Max’s logic. In fact, solitary is potentially violent in general, which is why we reserve it for the very worst of criminals.
This is beyond stupid, which is why you can’t simply believe it happened. You need to watch the video and hear Waters unhinged rant and illogical argument for yourself.
