Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) doesn’t really seem to like his home state of South Carolina very much. He’s been living in Washington, DC, for decades, and rarely goes home except for campaign events or the occasional ribbon-cutting ceremony for military contracting companies.
After Hurricane Helene devastated the western part of South Carolina last year, Graham only made one trip to the state. He met with FEMA officials, Aiken County Emergency Management, and the power company. We looked and couldn’t find a single picture of Lindsey meeting with actual hurricane victims.
He walked around with government employees for a while and then left. It was like when Pete Buttigieg visited East Palestine, OH, after that big train derailment. (And yes, we’re drawing a comparison between Pete Buttigieg and Lindsey Graham.)
Meanwhile, Graham made like eight trips to Ukraine. What’s he doing over there? Attending baby oil parties with Zelensky?
Our point is that Senator Graham seems to care far more about countries on the other side of the globe than he does about the people of South Carolina. Graham wanted President Trump to drop nukes on Iran a few weeks ago, and he never shuts up about Israel and Ukraine.
Don’t South Carolina voters finally deserve a better US Senator?
The good news is that Graham finally has a real, bona fide conservative running against him in the Republican primary next year.
