Liberals Turn to Trump for Help in Chicago

Things have gotten so bad in Chicago that even liberals are starting to ask for Donald Trump’s help. Yes, really.

After yet another bloody weekend in the Windy City—six people murdered, 27 more shot and wounded—residents are finally starting to say what we’ve all known for years: the city is totally out of control. And now, some folks who probably had “Resist” signs in their yards not long ago are looking toward the one guy they used to call a dictator. Because when your neighborhood turns into a war zone every weekend, suddenly law and order doesn’t sound so scary.

The cries for help are growing louder, and what’s shocking is who’s doing the crying. Regular people in Chicago are now backing Trump’s plan to federalize the city’s police force. That’s right. The same Trump who was vilified by the left and the media for daring to suggest that maybe—just maybe—Democrat-run cities need help from the federal government to deal with crime. Back in 2020, he floated the idea of sending in federal agents to assist overwhelmed local law enforcement. Naturally, the media shrieked about “authoritarianism” while Democrat mayors screamed about “states’ rights.” Meanwhile, the people on the ground were getting gunned down.

Well, fast forward to 2025, and guess what? The bodies are still piling up, and the Democrat politicians in charge of the city and state are still doing nothing. So now, more residents are saying, “Enough is enough.” They want Trump’s plan. They want the feds. They want someone—anyone—with a spine to come in and clean up the mess that these soft-on-crime Democrats created.

That’s why Trump’s idea is gaining traction. After Chicagoan saw the President’s immediate success in making Washington DC safer, they started to ask why not us too?

And the truth is, the Democrats who run these cities have no plan. They’ve spent years demonizing cops, slashing budgets, and passing laws that let criminals walk free. And now they wonder why crime is exploding? Give me a break.

So yes, it’s ironic. The same folks who once called Trump a tyrant are now begging for him to step in. But irony aside, it shows you just how far things have fallen. And it proves, once again, that Trump was right.

Because at the end of the day, people don’t want social experiments—they want safety. They want to walk to the store without getting shot. They want their kids to grow up, not end up in a coffin. And if that means calling in the feds, so be it.

The people of Chicago are waking up. Let’s hope the rest of the country is paying attention.
