Stop us if you’ve heard this one before. A liberal goes to a Trump rally expecting to find aggressive, nasty people – but then comes away with dozens of new friends and gets invited to a women’s Bible study.
It’s sort of like that phenomenon that happens every year or so when a guy says, “I’m an atheist and an archaeologist and I’m going to prove that Jesus never really existed by using science!” And then a year later the guy is either a street preacher or he’s joined the seminary. Happens every time!
Samuel Donner runs the “100 New Friends” video series on TikTok. His whole deal is that he goes to different places or events and tries to make 100 new friends. In this case, the Los Angeles liberal decided he was going to travel to Memphis, TN and go to a Trump rally.
Among his goals for the trip, Samuel wanted to have a meal with a Trump supporter, get invited to a Trump supporter’s house, and get invited to church. He says he didn’t expect any of those things to actually happen, because his impression as an L.A. liberal was that Trump rallies are aggressive and filled with mean, low IQ yokels who don’t understand how the world really works.
