Jonah Goldberg enraged CNN liberals Ana Navarro and her co-hosts by pointing out basic statistics about guns, noting that children are far more likely to die in a car accident than in a school shooting.
But don’t argue with facts against a liberal. That appears to similar lead to personal attacks and emotionalism, which is exactly what happened on CNN.
Navarro argued you can’t tell that to the parents of the Parkland shooting victims. Yes, it may not be a feel-good story, but it is a fact. Navarro and friends simply can’t handle the truth but instead continue to push an agenda that has little to do with actual journalism.
Goldberg’s comments are part of a larger problem on CNN and on leftist television. The facts simply don’t matter to them. All that seems to make a difference is what fits the narrative.
That’s a problem for CNN, and for the nation, as objective journalism has become secondary to opinion and propaganda across mainstream media in a widespread manipulation that repeats on a daily basis.
If a leftist host can’t control emotions over simple statements of fact, what will they do with more serious issues facing our nation, like the pro-life issue or families or even war in Ukraine? Sadly, it’s not reporting the news, but repeating a narrative, leaving Americans to search elsewhere for the facts.
