Liberal Hilariously Fails at Trying to Defend the Government’s Censorship of the Media

Conservatives, prepare! The topic of government censorship of news may be about to become a heady one as repeated cries from Democrats such as President Obama over supposed “fake news” get louder and more pointed.

Obama blamed fake news for President-Elect Donald Trump’s win over Democrat Hillary Clinton, and there are numerous government claims that the Russian state is financing and even generating some of the stories that caused voters to lean away from Clinton during the election and choose Trump.

In this clip, lawyer and TruthRevolt head honcho Ben Shapiro discusses how today’s press has been more manipulated, steered and lied to by the administration of Barack Obama than by any other presidential administration in living memory. Obama’s circle has clearly played favorites with journalists, rewarding some while punishing others based on the stories they’ve written. But instead of calling the administration out on its tricks, most of the media is like an obedient lap dog, eagerly asking for whatever else the government wants to feed it.

And now, as Megyn Kelly points out, a shadowy research firm has come out of nowhere to study news organizations and advise the government on what is “biased” and what is not.

Watch as Professor Mark Hannah of The New School (an Obama campaign aide in 2008) tries to answer Kelly and rebut Carlson’s claims, but can only spout platitudes about historical precedents and the need for news and information; he denies the government’s effort is about “bias,” but Carlson and Kelly are enlightened enough to suspect otherwise.
