White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt got into a fiery exchange with a reporter for the Associated Press who tried to make “get her” on the topic of President Donald Trump’s tariffs – and boy did it backfire for the leftist clown.
The AP reporter, Josh Boak, tried to stake the claim that President Trump was imposing “tax hikes” on U.S. corporations and consumers by raising tariffs on foreign nations, which is just another sad attempt by libera media to twist the truth.
Boak claimed that this was the opposite of Trump’s campaign promise of cutting taxes for all Americans.
“If we could just step back for a second, when President Trump last addressed the [Business Roundtable], his big push was on tax cuts. He’s going there today as he’s proposing tax hikes in the form of tariffs,” Boak said. “I’m curious why he’s prioritizing that over the tax cuts.”
“He’s actually not implementing tax hikes. Tariffs are a tax hike on foreign countries that again have been ripping us off. Tariffs are a tax cut for the American people and the president is a staunch advocate of tax cuts, as you know,” Leavitt said. “He campaigned on no taxes on tips, no taxes on overtime, no taxes on Social Security benefits. He is committed to all three of those things and he expects Congress to pass them later this year.”
For some reason, liberal reporters are obsessed with protecting the economic interests of foreign nations and Boak went on to do exactly that, suggesting that Leavitt simply “didn’t know how Tariffs work” and her response absolutely CRUSHED him.
