The national media is responsible for providing unbiased information, designed to educate the general public on news, without providing commentary. It is not the job of the media to tell someone how to think. It is their job to provide all the facts, without leaving important information out, and allow the reader or viewer to formulate their own idea and opinion on what is going on.
That, sadly, is mostly not the case. Everything has become editorialized, yet is printed and produced to replicate authentic “journalism.” ABC’s The View would not be seen as the gold standard of journalism. This is a talking head program with a group of individuals discussing a trending topics, but it has become the major face of news stations. More and more reporting is going out the window and is being replaced by these talking head shows. Despite this, the people and hosts on the shows should be held to some journalistic standards.
During a recent interview, Nancy Pelosi appeared on The View. At one point, Joy Behar, a host of the show, brought up the idea of impeachment. Most Democrats understand this is a pointless debate, not only because there is no reason to impeach President Trump but because Republicans control all forms of government. Nancy Pelosi surprisingly downplayed the idea. Joy Behar, on the other hand? It is a prime example as to why talking head programs should not be used as outlets for news. Watch her reaction in the video clip below.
