On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the world’s most influential podcast host said what the mainstream press refuses to touch: there is a direct link between psychiatric drugs—specifically SSRIs—and America’s epidemic of mass shootings.
“The reality is most of these people who have committed mass murder are on psychiatric medication,” Rogan stated plainly.
SSRIs, or Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, are prescribed in this country as casually as breath mints. Marketed as the fix for depression, anxiety, and nearly every other mental health condition under the sun, they alter brain chemistry in profound ways. The medical establishment, however, has been only too happy to push them. Why? One word: money.
The numbers don’t lie. Since the 1990s, SSRI prescriptions have skyrocketed by more than 500%. Over the same period, the United States has seen a parallel surge in mass shootings. That’s not a coincidence—it’s a correlation begging for scrutiny.
Rogan also raised the uncomfortable truth about why legacy outlets won’t investigate it: their bottom line. For decades, Big Pharma has been the single biggest advertiser keeping mainstream media afloat. These outlets were unwilling to question the COVID vaccines; they certainly won’t expose the cash cow that underwrites their existence.
But the stonewalling may not last forever. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has now signaled a sweeping investigation into SSRIs and their hidden toll on the American public. For the first time in decades, the pharmaceutical industry’s most lucrative product line may face the accountability it has evaded.
