Former Vice President Joe Biden engaged in a verbal altercation with a Detroit factory worker earlier this week. At the campaign event, the man questioned Biden over his previous statements about taking away guns from law abiding citizens, to which the Democratic presidential candidate said he was “full of s—”
Biden told the worker he wanted to ban “AR-14’s” (which do not exist), not confiscate everyone’s guns. The man responded by saying, ““You’re working for me, man.” “I’m not working for you, gimme a break, man. Don’t be such a horse’s a–,” said Biden.
This is just the latest example of Biden swearing it and calling voters names when confronted with tough questions. In December, a voter in Iowa questioned Biden’s age and his son’s business dealings in Ukraine. Biden responded by calling the man a “damn liar.”
When he was the Senate Judiciary chairman, Biden headed efforts to get an assault weapon ban passed in 1994. Since then he has repeatedly protested that banning assault weapons would not violate the Constitution.
He told supporters at a rally last month, “It’s not violating anybody’s Second Amendment rights … If you’re hunting geese, you can only have three shells in your shotgun. We protect geese better. Not me. … I will never, never, never give up this fight.”
Campaign staffers are now limiting Biden’s speeches to seven minutes or less to try to avoid further gaffes and him becoming unhinged.
