This past Veterans Day, President Joe Biden decided to share a view words while standing in front of an American flag backdrop to encourage the nation. Unfortunately, he accomplished the opposite.
Talking about baseball player Satchel Paige and the historic black baseball league, Biden dropped the N-word twice! Sure, he likely meant the name of the baseball league, but he said it regardless, setting off a firestorm both online and off.
Didn’t Obama remove the use of the word in government talks? Yep. Didn’t stop Old Joe from continuing to use the word. Sadly, Biden may have to move to prerecorded talks exclusively, as he continues to struggle to read the words on the screen in front of a live audience.
But the other concern is that much of the mainstream media continues to give Joe Biden a pass. If this was any Republican making the same blunder, it would likely be the end of the road and front page news.

You are correct. There’s no big deal here. Negro is not the N-word. It’s very much old fashioned, and black people don’t use it anymore because black – which was considered a pejorative back when Negro was the approved term – has become, together with African-American, the “approved” term today. Joe, disabled mentally to be sure, was simply referencing the name of the old baseball league for black players back in the days of racial segregation.

This article proves to me that there is little difference in what side of the aisle you sit. Black is a color, and Negro is a race of people. Black is beautiful, and negro, is just another word to describe a people that probably have been around longer then any other people. At some time in each of their histories, it is likely that SOME of them were enslaved by others.
I totally disagree with Mr. Biden’s political position, but as a person, he is whatever he is supposed to be. This BS about words that he used to describe a situation, and a time, and a person, is just plain silly. The Negro League is what it was called. As far as I know, the name has not been changed and is not, nor should it be, considered derogatory. The politically correct term for persons of African ancestry is in constant flux. One day the accepted term is Negro, then it is Colored then it is Black next it is African American.
