Joe Biden Pretends He Has No Power to Close the Border—Until Now

VILNIUS, LITHUANIA. 12th July 2023. Joe Biden Remarks after NATO SUMMIT 2023.

For the past three years, Joe Biden has put forward the false claim that he has no authority to close the US-Mexico border. He’s powerless! Now that his poll numbers are cratering because of the illegal alien invasion, however, Biden has suddenly discovered that he has authority to do something.

Not that anyone should trust him to do anything at this point. “Congress must act” has been the mantra of the Democrats and their media bootlickers for three years now. The only way to solve the border “problem” is by granting amnesty and voting rights to all illegal aliens, they insist.

That’s a total lie. Everything needed for Joe Biden to deal with the border was already passed by Congress back in 1965. It’s called the Immigration and Naturalization Act. If he would enforce the laws on the books, instead of trying to wreck the country for his Chinese benefactors, the border could be sealed tomorrow.

All of a sudden, Biden is now saying he’ll take executive action to fix the border—a power he insisted for three years that he did not have. Why the sudden change?

Why the change? Because of the Monmouth University poll that came out a few days ago. 61% of Americans view the open border as a “very serious” problem and 23% view it as “somewhat serious.” Combine those numbers and 84% of Americans view it as serious.

It’s an election year and Biden is facing a historic loss unless he pretends to do something.

Watch the sudden about-face in this montage of media clips about how Biden was so powerless until about 11 seconds ago?
