Jimmy Kimmel’s Offers Lame Apology for Wearing Blackface, Takes Dig at Critics

Cancel culture is a bad thing. Freedom of speech is a good thing. Remember that context as you keep reading.

Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel needs to go away. It’s not because he dressed up and impersonated a black person trying to do a comedy skit years ago. It’s not because his politics are bad. It’s because he’s bad at his job. He’s a TV host who isn’t funny or insightful. He isn’t even remotely entertaining. He’s just a media stooge who gets paid an insane amount of money to say what he’s told to say, and he does a poor job of it.

This isn’t about canceling Jimmy Kimmel. It’s a plea to restore meritocracy to entertainment. Wouldn’t that be something?

Meanwhile, Kimmel is in a lot of trouble for things he said and did in the past. You see, he’s led a lot of campaigns to cancel people guilty of wrongthink. Now, it seems that he is also guilty of wrongthink.

So, he apologized. The problem is that his apology doesn’t contain any humility or repentance. He used his ‘apology’ to attack conservatives and Trump supporters. It’s more of the same nonsense, and it’s time we all walked away from Hollywood culture.

You’ll find the ‘apology’ in this video. Not to worry, you’ll also find some good sass and sarcastic humor from Michael Knowles. It helps make the whole thing a lot more palatable.
