Joe Biden’s wife (Dr. Jill Biden) speech before a few dozen supporters in Boone, Iowa highlights the reason Democrats want to talk about legal immigrants like her forefathers but not the real problem on our borders.
The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) reminds us that legal immigrants are not the problem and politicians like Biden know it.
The United States has always been and still is a haven for foreign individuals who have suffered religious, physical and political persecution. However, many among the recent influx of aliens do not meet that standard but know how to use our openness against us.
According to FAIR:
Unfortunately, a growing number of asylum seekers are well-versed in our laws and, more importantly, what they need to say in order to get a foot beyond the first asylum hearing. As a result, many individuals claim “credible fear” of persecution in the hopes of being released or allowed to remain in the U.S.
That has resulted in loopholes in the asylum process and a rise in imported crime and human traffickers.
Improper claims have hopelessly clogged the system and denied legitimate asylum seekers a swift adjudication of their claims.
