It’s time to bring the conversation back to Jeff Sessions. Our most prominent memories of the man are of his (in)actions as Attorney General. He was President Trump’s first pick for the job, and when things got tough, the two went their separate ways.
In greater detail, Sessions recused himself from anything having to do with the Russia probe. President Trump felt like that was a disloyal move and a mistake; he ultimately chose to go with a new AG.
At the moment, Sessions’ position might have seemed reasonable to some. There were heavy allegations, and Sessions had made it clear that he was a full-fledged Trump supporter. He figured his involvement in any of it would have just riled the Democratic base.
That may have been true, but in hindsight, we can see that President Trump was right. The entire Russia probe was a hoax, and if Sessions had acquitted himself as well as Barr seems to be doing, we might have skipped two years of nonsense and wasted tax dollars.
Considering all of this, it might be easy to assume that Sessions and President Trump aren’t on the best of terms. The media sure wants you to think that. It turns out that the media is wrong again.
In this video, you’ll hear Sessions set the record straight. Maybe as a Senator, he’ll be able to make right the ways he failed as Attorney General. Take a look.
