Jeff Bezos Buys MGM Studios, Officially the Most Powerful Man in the World—And That Should Worry You

Saagar Enjeti reacts to the news that Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos, is purchasing MGM for $8.45 billion in the latest video from The Hill. Why does this matter?

Enjeti explains that Amazon already controls America. They have expanded to become the second largest employer in the United States in retail behind Wal-Mart. Amazon also bought Whole Foods for $14 billion. Now the online behemoth has moved to conquer Hollywood.

It’s not just Amazon Prime Video their own streaming services. We’re talking full-blown Hollywood movies with MGM.

If Amazon wasn’t a monopoly already, it definitely is now. This group should not be allowed to buy anything else. In fact, some political leaders are already calling for its investigation and the breakup of it dominating financial practices.

What are they going to do next? Will Amazon buy Disney? The video asks, “What does this company and this one man now not control in American life? Owning one studio is effectively like owning all of them because they all do so much business together.”

It’s kind of like the influence the Washington Post has on other newspapers. Oh, wait, Amazon owns that too!

Check it out and be informed about Amazon’s latest concerning purchase in this startling new take on the online retailer.

  1. Well, for God’s sake, employ the Anti-Trust laws already on the books and force these behemoth techies to reduce their power! And any other monopolistic organization that thinks they should buy more and more power to force their evil philosophies on the rest of civilization. Stop it now and quit monkeying around.

    1. in communist countries , the media tv, radio, all of it. are controlled by the government. they spew propaganda constantly. Remember the stepford wives, they were fed that to become submissive nice little wives that never made waves. (movie ) of course but that is exactly how it works. the media constantly feeds the lies till they are believeable . Or so the sheeple think so eventually. \this is probably the plan here. I could not listen to the video because my hearing is so bad and could not read anything so I don[t know what it was about . I do know how this agenda we are now living in works. \at least for the most part.

  2. I totally agree! There are some really ugly and evil people who have too much money. I do not respect them and will try not to do business with them. I not allow them to brainwash me or run my life.

  3. GREAT – another company I do not have to do business with. Haven’t done business with amazon and looks like mgm will be next on the list of things to boycott. The lion came with a roar and looks like they will go will go out like mangy stray!
