For many years, it’s been very easy to answer the question, “Who is the dumbest member of Congress?” It’s obviously Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI), right?
Some people might try to quibble and argue that it’s Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) or Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA). But then, Senator Hirono will open her mouth to speak again and everyone will realize, “Oh, right. It’s definitely her. She’s the dumbest by far.”
We may have some good news for Hirono. It looks like there is finally a serious contender to wear the crown of Dumbest Member of Congress.
Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) took to the House floor this week to accuse a bunch of Republicans of accepting donations from “Jeffrey Epstein.” The list of people who took donations from “Jeffrey Epstein” included current EPA administrator Lee Zeldin and others.
What Crockett was too dumb to realize is that there is more than one “Jeffrey Epstein” in this world. The Jeffrey Epstein who donates to Republican candidates is a physician from New York and is in no way related to the disgraced Jeffrey Epstein who died in 2019. It’s a completely different person.
When she was called out for her obvious stupidity—on CNN of all places—Crockett then doubled down and made herself look even dumber!
And that’s not even the most hilarious part of this story! Lee Zeldin pointed out another fact that Crockett missed completely in her rush to take the crown from Mazie Hirono. You have to see this for yourself:
