The wildfire situation in California right now should serve as a harrowing reminder that local elections really do matter.
Los Angeles’ far-left Democrat Mayor Karen Bass slashed $17.6 million from the fire department just months before the fires broke out.
THEN she decided to go on a trip to Africa right as the flames started spreading, choosing to ignore the fact that homes and businesses were burning down all over her city.
Mayor Bass was shamed into leaving the party she was attending in Africa to come back and deal with the problems in LA. One reporter cornered her and UNLOADED on her for the way she has handled the disaster, which proved to be yet another thing the liberal mayor couldn’t handle.
“Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning?” the reporter asked Bass who, like most Democrats, is not used to answering REAL questions from the media.
Bass was left in shock and said nothing.
But the reporter, did not relent.
“Do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars?” the reporter asked.
Karen Bass STILL stood there completely silent.
“Have you nothing to say? Elon Musk says that you’re incompetent. Are you considering your position?” the reporter asked which ultimately led to Bass turning around and RUNNING AWAY!
Democrats are not used to being asked hard questions. They freeze or run away. Mayor Bass did both when confronted about her inadequate choices as mayor of LA.
