Identity Politics Fail? Texas Senate Race Shocker

Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett just strutted onto “The View” and basically told America she’s running for Senate in Texas because… she’s black. No, really — that’s her entire pitch.

In her words, “We are also a majority minority state. So, for everybody that’s like, ‘Well, she running for Senate, and she black.’ Yes, I am.” She then tossed in a stat about Texas having more African-Americans than any other state, like she’s already won the election just by showing up.

Talk about identity politics on steroids.

BlazeTV’s Sara Gonzales was not having it. “That’s the first time I’ve ever heard you tell me that you’re black, Jasmine,” she said, dripping with sarcasm. “Other than literally every time you speak, I would have never known that you were black.” Ouch.

But here’s the kicker — Crockett hasn’t released a single poll showing she’s got a shot. Instead, she claims she showed her “numbers” to another candidate, who then supposedly dropped out of the race after witnessing her “electability.” Right. Sure.

Sara’s take? “Republicans just tricked you and astroturfed you.” Translation: The left got hustled into throwing a candidate into a race she probably can’t win.

Let’s not forget — Trump crushed it in Texas in 2024, winning 56 to 42. That’s a 1.5 million vote difference. And while Crockett is banking on black voter enthusiasm, black voters made up just 11% of the total turnout. That math doesn’t exactly scream “landslide.”

So here we are — a Democrat riding skin color like it’s a campaign strategy while ignoring the political reality of Texas. If that’s the best they’ve got, Republicans might want to send her a thank-you card.
