Hypocrite: Chicago Mayor Tells People to Stay Home But Gets Caught Going Out to Get a Haircut

As we get through this pandemic and every political actor tries to bend it to fit their narrative, remember one thing. The city of New York is the source of the vast majority of our country’s total infections and deaths. Without the utter failure of leadership in New York City, we’d be a shining example to the whole world as to how to beat this infection.

You know what? Remember one other thing. Bill de Blasio is the mayor who utterly failed on every front in New York. His leadership is the primary reason that so many have died in his city. He told people to go about their business while the infection was raging. He refused to shut down dirty subways. Worst of all, he wouldn’t let hospitals segregate coronavirus patients. That decision alone allowed the virus to sweep through ICUs and kill thousands of people.

As much as we could pick on Bill de Blasio, he’s not the only hypocrite manufacturing problems in the midst of a pandemic. He’s just the most obvious example.

The mayor of Chicago is in lockstep with de Blasio. Lori Lightfoot was caught going out for a haircut even while she was telling everyone to stay home. It’s the height of hypocrisy, and it’s another example of far-left leadership falling in every way, when it matters most.

This strongly resembles the Obamas telling us that global warming is a threat to the world and then buying beachfront property. When leftists reveal their hypocrisy, they also reveal the truth they’re trying to hide. It’s never about safety. It’s never about helping or protecting people. It’s always about the same thing: power. They want it, and they’re using a virus as an excuse to grab it.

In this video, Matt Walsh does an excellent job of distilling the key points into a short, easy segment.
