The mainstream media has been working overtime to convince us that President Donald Trump has destroyed the economy, churning out headline after headline claiming that a recession is around the corner… but newly released jobs numbers show what a bunch of BS that narrative is!
According to the Department of Labor, jobs data FAR EXCEEDED expectations with employers adding 177,000 new jobs and the unemployment rate remaining unchanged.
Economists had forecasted just 130,000 jobs added amid the rollout of Trump’s tariffs which they claimed would harm the economy.
The total number of people employed rose by 436,000 and the average hours work also increased slightly to 34.3 hours from 34.2 hours which signals that employer demand for labor is trending in the right direction.
Impressively, the overwhelming majority of this job growth came from the PRIVATE SECTOR – which added 167,000 jobs. This is particularly impressive because the previous administration created an economy that was increasingly reliant on government jobs to fuel growth, which was a recipe for disaster.
By all measures, this means that the economy is doing MUCH better than the media has been telling us!
