Hollywood’s elite just got a brutal reminder: all that fame, fortune, and liberal virtue-signaling can’t protect you from chaos in your own backyard.
Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of ultra-liberal filmmaker Rob Reiner, crashed Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party earlier this month — not because he was invited, but because his parents were too scared to leave him alone. According to multiple reports, Rob and wife Michele begged Conan to let Nick tag along after his “extreme and stressful behavior” had taken a concerning turn. Translation: things were getting so bad at home, they figured it was safer to drag him into a room full of celebrities than let him sit alone in the Brentwood guesthouse.
And then it got weird.

Once inside, Nick reportedly creeped out guests with a bizarre series of questions: “What’s your first name? What’s your last name? Are you famous?” Sounds like a chatbot having a breakdown. The awkwardness hit a peak when comedian Bill Hader had a tense exchange with him, prompting Nick to storm off in a fit.
Rob, clearly embarrassed, confronted his son over the behavior, apologized to Conan, and then left the party early with Michele. Less than 24 hours later, both he and his wife were found dead in their home — murdered. Nick was arrested shortly after and is now sitting in the Twin Towers jail, held without bail and on suicide watch.
Nick’s friends and family are shocked. His dad thought he was “in a really great place” and had been clean for six years. A family friend even said Nick “looked great” just weeks before.
But clearly, something much darker was going on.
This wasn’t just a Hollywood tragedy. It was a slow-motion train wreck, ignored and glossed over by people too afraid to admit something was very wrong.
Megyn Kelly shares a shocking new detail from Hollywood reporter Billy Bush about what Rob and Michele’s daughter Romy saw when she entered her parents home and found their bodies.
