Highlights from the Fifth Democratic Debate

Democratic debates are hard to watch. From the pandering to the misinformation, the identity politics to the radical proposals, it’s a lot to ask anyone to stomach. So, if you decided you would skip last week’s fifth Democrat debate and just catch the highlights from someone else, you’re in the right place.

Just stop and appreciate that someone had to endure that garbage to bring you the short version here.

There were a lot of gaffes. The questions were all softballs. All of the candidates are so desperate to be as “anti-Trump” as possible that they won’t even criticize blatantly stupid remarks from each other. It’s really a waste to call what happened a debate.

The video is going to hit all of the highlights, but there’s one in particular that is worth mentioning here. Joe Biden, in his big pitch for minority support, claimed that he has been endorsed by the only black woman ever to be elected as a U.S. Senator.

You see why that’s funny, right? The second black woman to ever be elected as a U.S. Senator is named Kamala Harris. She was eight feet away when he said this, and she definitely has not endorsed her opponent for president.

As embarrassing as that moment was for Biden and the DNC, it was only one of many. This video condenses an entire evening of Democratic tomfoolery into a three-minute clip. Sometimes, the internet is an amazing thing.
