On the floor of the House, in an epic speech Pennsylvania Republican Rep. Guy Reschenthaler pushed back on the Democrat’s insistence that Joe Biden’s Build Back Better plan is to make things easier for the poor and middle class. Reschenthaler pointed out Biden’s spending bill gives tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires in a powerful speech that highlighted some of the many problems that reveal the legislation doesn’t live up to its name.
He first pointed out that all but one of the 25 districts that will benefit from the SALT tax breaks are led by Democrats. Coincidence? Nope. Just good old working the system to help the left’s donors benefit in the name of helping the nation.
When it comes down to it, the left is really only building back its districts better, leaving out the Americans who vote Republican. Interesting how that works, even though the House and Senate are both nearly evenly divided.
It’s also wild to discover that 96 percent of all U.S. districts will experience higher taxes as a result. In the end, it’s helping the rich and taxing everyone else more. That’s far from Biden’s focus on the wealthy paying their fair share.
