Has Trump Gone Soft on Immigration Policies?

Is it just us, or did someone switch out President Trump with a short, squishy body double while we weren’t looking?

Conservatives across the country are lighting up social media, asking what the heck is going on inside the White House. The America First president we voted for—the man who slammed the brakes on H-1B visas and fought to stop mass immigration—is suddenly pushing policies that sound like they were cooked up by a Silicon Valley donor and a D.C. think tank.

Let’s walk through the madness.

First, the White House is floating the idea of 50-year mortgages. Let’s chain our kids to debt for life. Then they want to hand out more H-1B visas than ever before, flooding the U.S. with foreign workers who will drive down wages and gobble up housing, driving up housing prices as well. On top of that, they’re suggesting legalizing more immigrants than any administration in history. All this while Amazon lays off 30,000 Americans and applies for 10,000 H-1Bs to replace them.

We’ve got Trump on camera telling Laura Ingraham that we need to “bring in talent” because “you can’t take people off the unemployment line and say, ‘go make missiles.’” Laura wasn’t having it. She pushed back, hard. And when Ingraham is sounding more America First than Trump, you know something’s off.

The backlash from conservatives was fierce and it was quick.

“Even if it were true that we don’t have enough talented people in this country, which it isn’t, that would be all the more reason to stop importing foreigners,” wrote the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh. “We need to train up our own people. Give actual Americans a shot. America is for Americans.”

Actor Kevin Sorbo warned, “This will cost Republicans the midterms.” and “What an atrocious thing to say.”

Pollster Mark Mitchell said, “Why does Trump 47 insult his base? This isn’t the first time.”

Look, we know what got Trump elected. It wasn’t donor-pleasing immigration policies or globalist talking points. It was putting Americans first. That’s what MAGA means. And if Trump doesn’t course correct fast, 2026 could be a disaster.

Folks, it’s time someone told the truth straight to the Oval Office.
