The people responsible for educating the next generation of Americans continue to expose themselves as the Marxists they with Harvard Professor Naomi Oreskes making it clear she’s certainly no fan of free speech.
At the annual World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Oreskes, employed by what is supposed to be one of the top universities in America, called for more regulation of speech on the internet while claiming that the amount of free speech right now is “problematic.”
The professor specifically targeted social media platform X (formerly Twitter) due to the fact that it has embraced free speech since being purchased by Elon Musk.
Oreskes argues that freedom of speech has made X such a “toxic place” and after spending years on the more censorship heavy version of the platform, she’s decided it’s not a “worthwhile place to spend time.”
Swiss physicist Luciana Vaccaro who was sitting alongside her agreed with her assessment of X but went on to add that social media platforms should make it a violation of their code of conduct to “spread misinformation.”
She added that social media companies have too much power to allow free speech and claimed that there will soon be a major change in society that calls for restricting more speech online.
