Hakeem Jeffries just went full meltdown on national TV, calling the Department of Homeland Security a “killing machine.” Yes, the same DHS that’s tasked with keeping our borders secure and our cities safe. But according to the House Minority Leader, it’s now some kind of government-sponsored hit squad.
During an interview on CNN, Jeffries was asked if firing DHS Secretary Kristi Noem would be enough to earn Democrat support for the latest funding bill. His answer? “Of course, not enough.” He then launched into a rant about DHS using taxpayer money to “kill American citizens” and “brutalize American communities.” Seriously?
The CNN host even pushed back, reminding Jeffries there’s no actual policy allowing agents to kill citizens with tax dollars. But Jeffries wasn’t backing down. He pointed to two recent fatal shootings in Minneapolis involving federal agents—Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti—as proof that DHS is out of control. He also tossed in complaints about ICE detention deaths and insisted that ICE agents need body cams, no masks, and judicial warrants—basically turning them into glorified mall cops.
Here’s the real kicker: Jeffries actually said the Trump administration promised to deport violent felons, and he supported that. But now, he claims law enforcement is “rogue,” and ICE is “absolutely immune.” So which is it, Hakeem? You support deporting criminals, but also want to defund the very agency doing it?
This comes as Senate Democrats are threatening to blow up the entire government spending bill over ICE funding. That bill funds everything from FEMA to the Department of War—yet the Left is ready to torch it all to keep ICE from doing its job.
