A taxpayer funded grocery store in Kansas City, MO might unintentionally be providing the America people with a first-hand look at what a complete disaster communism is!
The store, Sun Fresh Market, is funded by the city and has received tens of MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars over the past few years… but a quick look at it tells you what a colossal failure this communist little project is.
When a reporter toured the store, she found empty shelves, rotten produce, and hot food sections that were just completely shut down – looking like something you would expect to see in a communist country.
One shopper said, “There’s no meat. There’s no vegetables. There’s no nothing. Are you going to take care of the community that’s surrounded around you? If not, sell the store to someone that can be more responsible.”
Somehow the store has lost $900,000 in recent years and is on the verge of closing for good. The store is located in a crime-heavy area and the Washington Post claims that shoppers are “afraid to shop there” but the city’s mayor says there is more to it than that.
“There’s a grocery store right down the street — largely in the same kind of area, some of the same criminal numbers and statistics — that still is doing pretty darn well” the mayor said, confirming that the REAL problem is the government-run store itself.
