GOP Senator Torches Biden Official for Pushing EVs to Strengthen China

From the very start, Joe Biden has dedicated his presidency to the destruction of America’s storied auto industry, doing everything in his power to make CHINA the new manufacturing power player and Republican Josh Hawley shredded a Biden official to pieces when he tried denying that.

Through a radical electric vehicle policy which pretends that fighting “climate change” is its motivation, the Biden Regime has put into effect a number of mandates that would force both the American people AND the government to rely on China in a greater way than ever before.

Grilling Deputy Energy Secretary David Turk about the Regime’s electric vehicle push, Hawley gets Turk to admit that China is responsible for roughly 60% of all electric vehicle production and 76% of the world’s lithium battery production.

Hawley goes on to note that Biden’s policies – which force Americans to adopt electric vehicles – are  driving us right into the hands of a nation that is our greatest enemy while enriching the Chinese Communist Party.

He goes on to point out that electric vehicles are on average $7,000 more expensive for Americans to own asking Turk how this is supposed to benefit the American people in ANY WAY.

Turk, as clueless as any Biden official typically is, pointed out that the Biden regime is trying to help alleviate that through tax subsidies but as Hawley quickly points out, those subsidies are only HELPING the Chinese manufacturers!

Hawley then drops the hammer, “Why would we want to not only give our adversary our supply chain and our jobs, but PAY them to take them?”

A clearly flustered Turk attempted to respond but the more he spoke the more obvious it was that the Biden Regime is obviously trying to help China on purpose and they can’t even hide it anymore.
