South Carolina Senator Tim Scott’s stock continues to rise in the Republican Party, and his efforts to get so-called woke capitalism under control is another big win. In a recent video call, Sen. Scott took the opportunity to rant against some of the nation’s most powerful bankers. They signed on to a letter bashing a recently enacted Georgia voter law.
Many of the country’s top CEOs got scammed by the likes of Stacey Abrams and Joe Biden, who claimed the law discriminated against African-American voters. When Sen. Scott takes banking leaders to task over signing the letter and pushing woke capitalism, it blows up in their face.
As a Black man from the South, Sen. Scott is fully tuned into laws and policies that discriminate against minorities. Truth be told, he favors the Georgia law and touts its efforts to expand voting access.
Georgia’s voters received increased early registration dates, and polls are open later in some areas. What can no longer happen is the types of suspicious activity that occurred during the 2020 elections. Things like secretly counting ballots after spotters have left a facility or being able to register to vote by using a Post Office box and never having to verify your identity won’t happen again.
If those are the things woke capitalists are worried about, Sen. Scott certainly gives them a platform to air their grievances. This man is one of my favorite Senators, why can’t we have more like him in the senate. And maybe get rid of pos like schumer. That would help our country.
