An important question that people are finally starting to ask is, who is special prosecutor Jack Smith? Sure, we know he’s the guy that indicted Donald Trump on fake classified documents charges in Florida and fake January 6 charges in Washington, DC, but who is he?
A lot of people—including the judge in the Florida case—have come to the realization recently that Jack Smith is an illegitimate special prosecutor. He wasn’t even working at the Department of Justice when hatchet man Merrick Garland hand-picked him to be the special prosecutor to go after Trump.
There’s a very real chance that Jack Smith’s appointment is invalid. This would be huge for President Trump, because the charges filed against him in these two separate cases are invalid.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) seized on this during a committee hearing this week. Garland did not have authorization from Congress to appoint Jack Smith, and Smith was never confirmed as a special prosecutor by the US Senate like they’re supposed to be.
So, how is it that this guy who doesn’t even live in America (Smith lives in Italy) ended up prosecuting and bringing fake charges against a former President? It’s just one more example of how the Democrats will break any rule necessary in order to “Get Trump.”
