Glenn Beck on the Left, “They are Heading Down the Path to Fascism on a Biblical Scale”

There are plenty of reasons to be against socialism. A hundred years or so of failed social experiments ought to be compelling enough. But, then again, some people believe the earth is flat. When there’s that much stupidity to spare, you can rest assured that there will be plenty of morons out there fighting for socialism.

It’s fun to ridicule their intelligence, but they’re actually quite crafty. One of the favorite tactics of the modern socialists is to try and claim that Jesus advocated for socialism. They use two instances. One is where the New Testament suggests that you should pay your taxes when you “render to Caesar that which is Caesar’s.” The other is a tale of a community that worked hard to take care of the less-fortunate among them.

Neither of these cases suggests that nations should run on socialism. Humility and charity are valuable, but the Bible doesn’t actually support socialism on a large scale. In fact, there are a few passages that show you exactly why you shouldn’t run with the modern socialists.

You might be surprised to learn that the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is one such tale. Glenn Beck explains how in this video. He also covers another important lesson about modern socialists and the way they conduct themselves. It’s definitely worth a watch.
