Republicans have an incredibly deep bench heading into the next presidential election in 2028. It’s so deep, in fact, that many qualified people are already auditioning for the job. Who will pick up the torch in 2028 to carry the MAGA movement forward?
This optimism is exciting! We all understand that if a Democrat were to somehow win the White House in 2028, that’s the end of America. Automatic wide-open borders, amnesty, internal destruction, and bloody civil war would be the result. Fortunately, we just can’t see that happening right now.
Among the contenders vying to replace President Trump in four years are Secretary of State Marco Rubio and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. Long shots like Tulsi Gabbard and RFK are other possibilities. The loyalty of these people to the Trump 2.0 administration has been impressive. Eric Trump has also hinted that he might run, which presents an interesting wrinkle in the equation.
But as of right now, we’re guessing that the nomination belongs to Vice President JD Vance. He gave a truly impressive speech this week at the Claremont Institute. Vance clearly understands and articulates the differences between American nationalism, which will save our country, versus the noxious stench of “civic” nationalism.
America is not an “idea,” folks. America is a nation of distinct people, descended from European Christendom. Like President Trump, JD Vance understands that important distinction.
