The assassination of Charlie Kirk should have been a unifying moment of grief for Americans. Instead, it became yet another showcase of how depraved the left has become. Within minutes of news breaking that the 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder had been gunned down on a Utah college campus, Democrat supporters and their media allies rushed online — not to mourn, but to mock.
Social media was flooded with gleeful, vile commentary. One liberal gloated: “Hitler giving Charlie Kirk a tour in hell,” while another sneered, “The best kind of Nazi is a dead one.” Others produced TikTok skits, mock-crying with sarcastic captions. One even wrote, “Why didn’t Charlie Kirk just debate the bullet?” The cruelty was staggering. This wasn’t fringe trolls hiding in the shadows — these were everyday Democrat voters, celebrating a political murder.
The rot went further. On BlueSky, liberals cheered that Kirk’s death would overshadow coverage of a school shooting the same day. Others mocked his defense of the Second Amendment: “Getting killed by your favorite thing in the world is sweet.” The mask slipped completely: Kirk wasn’t seen as a human being, a husband, a father of two — he was a cartoon villain they were glad to see dead.
Even elected Democrats couldn’t restrain themselves. During a moment of silence held in the House, when Rep. Lauren Boebert requested a prayer for Kirk, some Democrats shouted “No!” in unison. Imagine the roles reversed — Republicans refusing prayer for a fallen liberal figure. The outrage would dominate headlines for weeks.
Meanwhile, MSNBC hosts described Kirk as “polarizing” and speculated, without evidence, that the gunshot could have been fired by one of his supporters. In the hours when his family and friends were reeling, the media’s instinct was to smear.
To see where Conservatives go from here after this disgusting political assassination, commentator Mark Dice has some ideas…
