Former VP Al Gore Visits President-Elect Trump

For the most part, former Vice President Al Gore has remained out of the limelight over the last 10 plus years. Following his loss to eventual President George W. Bush, Mr. Gore focused most of his time on the creation of a presentation/documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”

The documentary focused on global warming, how the earth has changed since monitoring weather patterns has become a normal practice, and what the global temperatures will likely continue to do if certain changes are not made.

Outside of this and the occasional appearance on the animated show “Futurama” (from the makers of The Simpsons), Al Gore has spent most of his time giving speeches on climate change. However, he did take time out to meet with President-Elect Donald Trump.

Originally, the meeting was scheduled to only occur between Mr. Gore and Ivanka, Donald’s eldest daughter. It is believed that Ivanka will take up a good portion of the traditional “First Lady” duties and climate change is one she is looking at.

However, following a meeting with Ivanka, Al and Donald sat down for an extended talk about climate change. After the conclusion of the meeting, reporters outside of Trump Tower asked Al Gore how the meeting went. He said the meetings would be ongoing and that it was “extremely interesting” and left it at that.

The talks did sound promising from Mr. Gore. And it is highly likely he did not comment further as the Democrats don’t want a former high ranking member of their party speaking well of Mr. Trump. Check out the video below to see everything Mr. Gore said about his meeting with Donald Trump.
