During President Donald Trump’s first term as president, it was considered “taboo” to be a fan of his, with many powerful names fearing that if they were exposed as being MAGA supporters, they would get “canceled.”
It’s safe to say this time around, things are VERY different.
Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was one of those powerful names, and his news outlet, the Washington Post CERTAINLY did it’s fair share of spreading anti-Trump propaganda.
But after the last four years of chaos with President Joe Biden and the Democrats at the helm, many people – including Bezos – are incredibly excited for four more years of Trump.
While speaking at the New York Times DealBook Summit, Bezos said he is “actually very optimistic this time around” going into a Trump presidency.
In particular, Bezos said that he is very excited about Trump’s ideas surrounding taking the regulatory chains off of the American economy and he will help him slash regulations however he can.
Bezos is by no means alone in his change of heart on Trump the second time around.
Powerful names in banking and tech have both shown support for Trump in his second term despite having criticized him heavily the first time he was president. This includes people like JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon and Meta (former Facebook) CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
All of these powerful people were working AGAINST Trump during his first term and he was STILL incredibly effective. Just imagine what he’ll be able to accomplish now that everyone is getting on-board the Trump train!
