Former Obama Staffers Speak Out Against Joe Biden’s Candidacy

Several former Obama insiders appeared on the Fox news program “The Story with Martha MacCallum” and it appears none of them are as enthused about Joe Biden’s chances as he would like.

Martha MacCallum asked each one to answer the questions that surround the Obama Administration’s support for Joe Biden in 2020 but all three backed off of offering anything near an endorsement.

Included in the interview were Rory Watkins Deputy political director in Florida, Robin Birrow former Obama campaign regional director, and Mari Harp a State Department spokesperson in the Obama Administration. Their responses gave a good picture of how much Obama and those who worked for him believe in his former Vice President.

The Washington Post and other left-leaning sources are looking elsewhere besides Biden to pin their hopes. When The Post asked Kathleen Sebelius, the former Kansas governor who served as Health and Human Services secretary in the Obama administration, about Biden she replied, “I want to see who lights a fire and who inspires folks to get engaged and involved.”

Affection for Biden isn’t the issue for most of Obama’s admirers. Rufus Gifford, Obama’s finance director in 2012 said “Biden loyalty is real” but support for him is a “little bit bipolar.”
