Federal Judge Blocks Pres Trump’s Order to Cut Funding to Sanctuary Cities

President Trump has promised America he will reform lax immigration laws that allow illegals to come to this country without fear of deportation. He has promised to build a wall between the United States and Mexico in addition to removing illegal immigrants from the U.S.

Currently, the border wall is in the initial stages. Such a large construction doesn’t happen overnight, so while construction of the wall is almost assuredly going to happen, it still has to go through some political red tape.

The illegal immigrant stance though is proving a bit more complicated.

Identifying every single illegal immigrant within the United States without asking everyone for state issued paperwork at checkpoints is nearly impossible. Plus, random searchers and asking for ID could quickly turn into a slippery slope of discrimination claims.

Instead, removing illegal immigrants who have committed crimes in the United States is easier as they have a documented record and can be easily traced (especially if they committed a violent crime). Despite all of this, states around the country want to serve as “sanctuary cities.” This means the state basically turns a blind eye on illegal immigrants.

Even judges have blocked president Trump’s order to cut funding for these sanctuary cities. What does this potentially mean for the President? Make sure to watch the video below to find out all the details.
