Even as it’s become clear that “sanctuary cities” are being destroyed by the overwhelming number of illegals that they’ve encountered some leftist mayors are holding the residents hostage – forcing them to keep suffering even as the people try to speak up!
Chicago is the perfect example of that, where residents have desperately tried to get leadership in the city to put an END to the sanctuary status, but their leftist mayor completely ignored them.
At a recent City Council meeting, residents voiced their frustrations with the city’s elected officials making it clear where they stand on the matter.
At the meeting, on Rep. asked “Do you as a resident of the City of Chicago believe that we should remain a sanctuary city?”
The crowd overwhelmingly responded by shouting “No!” But the city’s far-left socialist mayor Brandon Johnson didn’t care whatsoever – blocking a measure that would have allowed people to vote on whether or not they should continue to allow illegals to invade the city.
Chicago has been hemorrhaging cash that they simply don’t have to support the illegals and residents would much rather see their communities taken care of first – but the city’s left-wing leadership doesn’t care about Americans and these Chicagoans are learning that the hard way.
