Looks like the FBI finally caught the guy behind the mysterious pipe bombs planted outside both the Republican and Democrat headquarters in DC on January 5, 2021—yes, the night before the chaos at the Capitol. Meet Brian Cole Jr., 30 years old, now facing some very serious charges after a years-long manhunt.
This genius allegedly dropped off pipe bombs near the RNC and DNC buildings and then, get this—just kept shopping for more bomb-making gear like nothing happened. According to the feds, Cole was on a retail tour across northern Virginia, hitting up eight different Home Depot stores, plus Micro Center, Lowe’s, and Walmart, buying parts to build his little “projects.”
His setup was straight out of a bad movie: eight-inch galvanized steel pipes, end caps, nine-volt batteries, and white kitchen timers. Not exactly high-tech, but still dangerous enough to cause real damage and terror.
The FBI tracked him down the old-fashioned way—using cell tower data and surveillance footage to piece together his every move on January 5. Investigators had to go through 3 million lines of code from cell towers to pinpoint Cole and track him.
The affidavit says Cole placed the first bomb at the DNC around 7:54 p.m., and then casually walked over to plant the second at the RNC at 8:16 p.m. That’s 22 minutes to try and send a political message. Or maybe just to cause chaos.
He’s now charged with the use of an explosive device and attempted malicious destruction with explosives. About time.
So while Democrats were busy spinning January 6 into a political weapon to smear conservatives, it turns out the guy who planted actual bombs was still cruising the aisles at Home Depot and flying under the radar for years.
Why did this case go cold for 4 years under the Biden administration and it only took the Trump administration 11 months to figure out the bomber? Well we finally know the answer to that and the word cover up is too nice of a word to use. Watch Megyn Kelly discuss who Brian Cole is and why the Biden administration didn’t want to solve this case and make it known exactly who Cole was…
