Well, well, well—another Democrat witch hunt bites the dust. The Justice Department just officially shut down its investigation into Trump’s former ICE boss, Tom Homan, over an alleged $50,000 bribe stuffed in a takeout bag from Cava. Yes, you read that right. A designer salad bag. This wasn’t a scene from a Netflix crime drama—it was the Biden DOJ’s sad attempt at Russiagate 3.0–staging a hoax on a political enemy with the hopes to crush them for their dissent.
Let’s set the stage. It’s September of last year, Biden’s still clinging to power, and his administration is getting real tired of a former government employee going on a lot of media networks and criticizing their open border policies–especially because the American people seem to be listening to him and there is an election coming up that they desperately want to win. So Biden’s FBI decides it’s time for a little Russiagate 3.0 because the first two worked really well against Donald Trump during his first administration. Undercover agents posing as shady businessmen allegedly offered former ICE director Homan a big bag of cash—fifty grand, to be exact—supposedly in exchange for help scoring federal border security contracts.
The whole thing was allegedly recorded on audio tape and held in secret until they were ready to use it to either blackmail Homan into stop badmouthing the Biden/Kamala administration or to discredit him and hopefully make his criticisms of them stop landing so dang well. “Trump ally takes bribe!” they screamed. Only one problem: Homan wasn’t even working in government at the time.
Yeah. That’s kind of a big deal.
Fast forward to 2025. President Trump is back, the adults are finally in charge again, and Justice Department officials—now under real leadership—took a hard look at the case. Their conclusion? Total joke. No credible evidence. No crime. Obviously politically motivated. Just a big show cooked up by the previous administration to try and smear one of Trump’s most effective warriors.
FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said it best: “They found no credible evidence of any criminal wrongdoing. The Department’s resources must remain focused on real threats to the American people, not baseless investigations.”
Translation: Biden’s DOJ wasted your tax dollars chasing ghosts while the country was being overrun at the border.
And let’s not ignore what this really was—a political hit job. White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson nailed it when she called the probe “a political vendetta” by the Biden crew. Instead of going after violent criminals or cartels or maybe, just maybe, the people flooding across our border illegally, Biden’s DOJ decided to play spy games with a man who hadn’t been on the government payroll for years. Brilliant priorities.
This should have been the end of this alleged scandal for Tom Homan. Alas it is not. Bitter ex-FBI officials, upset their beloved Kamala didn’t win and that President Trump and Tom Homan have successfully shut down the invasion happening at the border, have leaked this alleged story to the media. The problem is no one has seen or heard this alleged taped evidence by undercover FBI agents. Still the left won’t drop it–they are desperate to discredit Homan because he has been very, very successful in his efforts to deport illegal aliens.
