Foreign buyers purchased $56 billion worth of homes in America between April 2024 and March 2025. More than 78,000 housing units were taken off the market for Americans. That foreign buying splurge also drove the median home price in America up to $494,400, which is an all-time record high.
All of these housing opportunities were taken away from Americans right as they are financially hanging on by their fingernails, following four years of the worst inflation in our history. Why do our useless leaders continue allowing this to happen to our country?
Tucker Carlson gave a speech last Friday at Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA event in Florida. Most of the coverage of Tucker’s speech involved people hyperventilating and claiming that he’s an anti-Semite. That silly response caused many people to miss Tucker’s most important point in that speech, which was that young people in America can’t afford to buy homes any longer.
And by young people, that even includes many Americans in their 30s and 40s. Young people are going into massive debt for largely useless college degrees which they’ll never pay off and that they can’t expunge in bankruptcy. At the same time, credit card companies are charging 30% interest. It’s a slow-motion disaster that can’t last many more years unless it’s turned around.
Adam Carolla and Jimmy Dore had a great discussion on Tucker’s speech, and the parts that were glossed over by everyone calling him names. It’s well worth your time to watch it:
