Elizabeth Warren is So Scared Kid Rock Will Win Senate Seat She’s Using It to Solicit Donations

Is musician and entertainer Kid Rock running for the Senate?

That’s the word from multiple sources, including Rock (whose real name is Robert James Ritchie) himself. After allegedly being fed up for years with politicians in Washington, Rock apparently decided that enough is enough, and it’s time for him to make his own bid for Congress’ upper chamber. Hailing from Michigan, Rock will face three-term Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow if he actually runs, and his lack of political experience could be a serious handicap.

But according to Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Rock is definitely in the race, and the senator has used this as a talking point in a fundraising appeal to Democratic constituents.

To a limited extent, Warren is correct in stating the outsized importance of Rock’s chances of winning or not; right now, the Senate is split 52 to 48 in favor of the Republicans (technically, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is an independent, but he campaigned for president as a Democrat, and listening to him speak, one usually doesn’t have to wonder where his political ideology lies). All of this means that every single seat in the elite Congressional chamber counts.

But on the other hand, Rock’s inexperience typically would suggest that he doesn’t pose a giant threat to the Democrats, even if they prefer to see him as a major-league, Washington-outsider bogeyman in the mold of President Trump. Watch as Fox Business host Gerri Willis discusses whether the Democrats will carve out a piece of the “Rock”.
