Do College Kids Hate America more than ISIS?

Is it really possible that we live in a world where students at our most prestigious universities feel more hatred and vitriol towards the freest, most tolerant, and most accepting country on the planet earth than they feel towards an organization responsible for the most heinous acts of brutality in modern times? As sickening as it sounds, this may very well be the new reality.

In something of a social experiment, documentary filmmaker Ami Horowitz went to the campus of UC Berkeley – once holding an American flag and making pro-American statements and once holding an ISIS flag proclaiming pro-ISIS statements. He wanted to see what kind of response he would get from the students there in both these circumstances, and the results were shocking.

Ami said that only one student was upset by the ISIS flag. Meanwhile, students who were upset or offended by the American flag and Ami’s pro-American statements came out in droves.

While we can hope that students who really see ISIS as being better than the United States are still a small minority, videos such as this are disconcerting to say the least.

This is the kind of thing you really have to see to believe. To witness for yourself the type of reactions that Ami Horowitz got on the campus of UC Berkeley, be sure to check out the video below.
